Paired with my iPhone and Sena 10R bluetooth system, the Apple Watch has become one of my favorite riding accessories. With a quick glance at my wrist while riding, I can check caller ID or see how many miles remain before my next turn and with a soft vibration, it reminds me that it’s time to turn if I somehow missed the voice prompt from the Sena 10R. The only issue I have with it is the look and feel, but none of the replacement watch bands I had seen really spoke to me until I came across the E3 Supply Co. Leather Cuff Band for Apple Watch.
If it seems like the team at E3 Supply Co. had motorcyclists in mind when they designed the Leather Cuff Band for Apple Watch, that’s probably because they did. This small, family-run shop from New York City got its start hand building custom motorcycles and now hand crafts leather goods inspired by the moto lifestyle. They pride themselves on creating every piece by hand utilizing time-honored presses, dies, punches and hand stitching techniques. From the looks of things, the result is well designed, high-quality leather goods made with excellent craftsmanship and care.
The Leather Cuff Band can be ordered to fit either the 38mm or 42mm Apple Watch and comes in black, brown or natural colored leather with either stainless steel or black hardware. The Chromexcel leather, sourced from The Horween Leather Company, is infused with an oil and wax blend that results in an extremely soft yet durable leather that’s perfectly suited for a watch band.
I hope to get my hands on one soon and will provide some “Road Tested” commentary soon after I do.
