From a young age, Preston Burroughs has been documenting life through the lens of whatever camera he could get his hands on. From creeping on family members for candid shots at the holidays to snagging photos of the bar to bar action of the daily motocross races in his backyard, he honed his skills by capturing the Southern California lifestyle he was immersed in since childhood.
At the intersection of his passions for photography and motorbikes sprouted a career in photography and moto-photojournalistic style all his own. It’s raw, yet refined. It’s art and it’s storytelling. It is documentary photography at its finest, giving outsiders a glimpse into a world they may know exists, but struggle to understand.
Companies such as Vice, Ford, Lexus, Harley-Davidson and Indian Motorcycles have taken note and commissioned Preston’s work, sending him around the world to do what he does best. In the increasingly commoditized business of photography he’s been able to carve out a niche rooted in moto authenticity and SoCal style.
As of late, you’ll find Preston in the mix of the Super Hooligan National Championship races, documenting all of the on track hooliganism and behind the scenes shenanigans for RSD and serving it up via IG to onlookers from around the world.
