The Icon 1000 Varial Jacket fuses textile with leather in a murdered out package that could have only been derived from the sinister minds at Icon. With a silhouette more reminiscent of athletic sportswear than a typical motorcycle jacket, the Icon 1000 Varial Jacket is perfectly suited to battle the urban jungle, on or off of your bike.
Icon has taken a black coated nylon chassis and reinforced it with drum-dyed black leather paneling in all of the abrasion-prone areas of the arms in the Icon 1000 Varial Jacket. Tucked underneath the stealthy exterior are D3O® impact protectors in the shoulders, elbows and back. Aquagard reflective zipper, reflective trims, and chest venting provide subtle reminders that this jacket was in fact built for the ride. It has a relatively loose fit and just enough water resistance to keep you dry during a light shower until you find cover.
While the Icon 1000 Varial Jacket may not be the most protective piece of gear in their arsenal, they continue to push the envelope in designing modern moto wear and we’re not mad at em for that! If you haven’t seen it yet, check out Rob Carpenter rockin the Icon 1000 Varial Jacket in “Wide Open.”
